The Research Vessel Heraclitus (www.pcrf.org) is on a ten-year expedition studying coral reefs, and will return to California, where the ferro-cement Chinese junk was built and launched in Oakland in 1975.

Theatre is a gift presented to the cultures visited in the great seaports of the world: Singapore, San Juan (Puerto Rico), Miami, Marseilles, Hania (Crete), Port Sudan, Bombay, Mombassa, Denpasar (Bali). On distant shores, in places accessible only by boat, the Ensemble has performed to the Sea People of the Maldives, the Chilean inland waterways, the Mentawai forest peoples of Siberut and the Amazonian jungle.
